ARFF - Animal Rescue Resource Foundation is an animal rescue that serves San Diego County. A friend who is part of their organization turned me on to a couple of older adoptable dogs, including Shelby. All of the vital statistics and contact information are included below:
Shelby is estimated to be approximately 8-9 years old. She is a spayed, tan with white Chihuahua who weighs about 6.5 lbs. She is a nice little companion pup that will snuggle with you, likes her walks, and is so happy when you talk to her. She is about 99% housetrained. Having a doggie door would be ideal. She is somewhat selective with her canine friends. If another dog is in the household, an advance meeting would be necessary. She would probably do best as an "only" dog, preferably in an adult home, but may also be fine with dog-savvy children 12 and up., She bonds easily and likes the attention of her keeper.
Shelby has a fairly common condition known as "dry eye" that will require her to always be treated with eye drops to lubricate her eye.
